Types of safes we supply
Home fire and burglary safes
Safes rated for both fire and break-in for documents, cash, jewellery and hard drives. Models include Uscan residential security safes with a 90-minute factory fire rating, Gardall U.L.-listed one- and two-hour fire safes, and AMSEC safes with fire ratings up to 120 minutes depending on the model.
Gun safes and large fire safes
Full-height safes from AMSEC (BFX, NF and TF series), Gardall and Uscan, with fire ratings from 20 to 120 minutes depending on the model.
Depository and drop safes
Drop-slot, front-load and rotary safes so staff can deposit cash without opening the safe. Uscan depository series and Gardall drop and depository safes.
High-security safes (TL-15, TL-30, TL-30X6)
For jewellers, pharmacies, cash businesses and anyone with high-value contents: AMSEC Amvault TL-15 and TL-30 safes and Gardall commercial high-security safes in TL-15, TL-30 and TL-30X6, tested against tool attack.

What the safe ratings mean
Fire ratings
A fire rating says how long the inside of the safe stays cool enough to protect paper, usually below 350°F, in a standard fire test. A 60-minute rating is a sensible minimum for a home; 120 minutes gives more margin. Check whether the rating is an independent test or the manufacturer's own.
RSC (Residential Security Container) and B-rate
RSC is the UL burglary classification for home safes. It means the safe resisted a short attack with common hand tools. B-rate is an insurance-industry construction standard for burglary safes. Both stop a typical burglar, not a prepared one.
TL-15 and TL-30
TL-rated safes resisted an attack on the door and front face by experts with power tools for 15 or 30 minutes of working time. “X6” means all six sides passed the test, not just the door. Insurers often ask for TL-rated safes for jewellery and high cash amounts. These are the highest ratings in our range.
Delivery and installation

Frequently asked questions
What is the best safe for a home in Toronto?
For most homes, a safe with both a burglary rating (RSC, B-rate or better) and a fire rating of at least 60 minutes, bolted to the floor. The right size depends on what you store; call us and we'll suggest models.
Is a fire safe also burglary-proof?
Not always. Some safes are rated for fire only. If you need both, choose a safe with a fire rating and an RSC, B-rate or TL burglary rating.
What safe does a jewellery store or pharmacy need?
Usually a TL-15 or TL-30 rated safe, and your insurer may set the minimum. We supply TL-15 and TL-30 safes from AMSEC and Gardall, and TL-30X6 from Gardall.
Can you open my safe if I lost the combination?
Yes. We open safes when the combination or key is lost, then reset or replace the lock so you can use the safe again.
