Are door closers required by code?
Door closers are required on fire-rated doors and on many exit doors under the Ontario Building Code and Fire Code, since the door has to self-close and latch to do its job. If a closer on a fire door is broken, it is a compliance issue as well as a nuisance. We repair and adjust them.
Can you repair a commercial lock, or does it need replacing?
